The cause is exactly what you describe. There are 2 meshes inside of eachother. Could be something to make it look like a window sticker in lfs, I have no idea. The solution is easy: Select the body of the car, go into edit mode and select the weird white material by hovering your mouse over it and pressing L (selecting UV islands).
